Palworld card trading FAQ
Short answers to what people ask before their first trade. For the long version, read the guides.
Is trading Palworld TCG cards on tradecards.gg free?
Yes. Card for card trades cost nothing and there is no listing fee, no commission and no subscription. You pay your own postage. When a trade includes cash, that money goes directly between the two traders through PayPal Goods and Services; tradecards.gg never takes a cut and never holds it.
How do I trade Palworld TCG cards by mail?
Publish a Want binder and a Have binder from your palworldtcg.gg account, open Matches to see which collectors cover the most of your wishlist, and propose a trade with cards on each side. Once the other trader accepts, the trade page tells you who ships first and whether tracking is required. Each of you posts your cards, marks them shipped, confirms what arrives, and leaves a review.
Do I need a separate account from palworldtcg.gg?
No. tradecards.gg is the trading side of palworldtcg.gg and uses the same login and the same database. Sign in with your existing account, pick a trader handle, and the binders you already keep on palworldtcg.gg become your listings here. Nothing is copied: edit a binder on palworldtcg.gg and it updates here at once.
How do payments work? Is there escrow?
There is no escrow and the site has no payment system of its own. If a trade includes cash, the buyer pays the other trader directly with PayPal Goods and Services, which carries PayPal's buyer protection, and never with Friends and Family. The trade page has photo slots for payment proof, packaging and tracking so both sides keep evidence. If something goes wrong, PayPal handles the refund; the site records fault but never moves money.
What is a Want binder and a Have binder?
They are ordinary palworldtcg.gg binders that you mark for trading. A Want binder holds the cards you are hunting. A Have binder holds the cards you are willing to trade or sell. You choose which binder plays which role during onboarding or in Settings. The matcher reads both, so publishing only one side gives you weaker matches.
How does it decide who ships first?
It depends on value and standing. For small trades below the domestic tracking threshold, both traders send at the same time and tracking is optional. Above it, tracking is required both ways and the trader with fewer completed trades sends first; if you are on equal standing you both send at the same time. Very high value trades add signature on delivery. When cash is involved, the buyer pays first and only the card sender ships.
Is it safe? What if the cards never arrive?
Every trader has a public profile with completed trades, distinct partners, positive review percentage, a tier and any strikes, so you can see who you are dealing with before you propose. Ship-first rules and required tracking on larger trades limit the damage a bad actor can do. If cards do not arrive, open the trade, report it, and a moderator reviews the tracking and photos and records fault. For cash trades PayPal Goods and Services covers the refund.
How does tradecards.gg keep postage down?
By preferring one big trade over many small ones. The matcher weighs each partner by how much of your wishlist they cover, how much of theirs you cover, card value, trade balance, postage cost between your shipping zones, reputation, recent activity and physical proximity. It then proposes a coverage plan: the few partners that cover the most of your list for the least total shipping. Twelve cards in one envelope cost a fraction of twelve cards in six.
Can I sell a single card?
Yes. The Marketplace lets you list one card with a condition, an asking price, or both a price and openness to trade offers. Buyers can buy now or make an offer. A sale becomes a normal trade with the same shipping rules, and the buyer pays you directly with PayPal Goods and Services.
What counts as a completed trade, and how does reputation work?
A trade completes when both sides confirm what arrived, or automatically 14 days after one side confirms and the other stays silent. Each completed trade adds to your count and unlocks a review. Reviews are double-blind: both are revealed when both are posted, or after 14 days. Your tier (new, trusted, veteran) is based on completed trades capped by distinct partners, so trading with the same friend fifty times does not inflate it.
Can I trade internationally?
Yes. Your profile carries your country, and the matcher prices postage between shipping zones (domestic, North America, Europe, rest of world), so a domestic partner who covers the same cards ranks higher than an overseas one, but overseas matches still appear when they are the best way to get a card. International shipments always require tracking, and signature on delivery kicks in at a lower value than it does domestically.
Where do the card values come from?
From recent eBay US sales of Palworld TCG singles, stored in US dollars. Each card page shows the estimate and how confident it is; a card with no recent sales gets a rarity-based guess and is labelled that way. Values are a starting point for a fair trade, not a rule: condition and how badly each of you wants a card matter too.
Where can I trade Palworld TCG cards online?
On tradecards.gg, card for card, with any collector who has published a binder. Elsewhere, the usual venues are the weekly buy, sell and trade thread on the Palworld TCG subreddit, the trading channels of the palworldtcg.gg Discord, and marketplaces such as eBay and TCGplayer for buying singles. tradecards.gg is the only one that matches your want list against other people's binders and ranks trades by how many cards move in one envelope.
Is there a Palworld TCG trading Discord?
Yes. The palworldtcg.gg Discord has trading channels, and many tradecards.gg trades start as a conversation there. The difference is what happens next: on tradecards.gg the trade has a page, a ship-first rule, tracking and confirmation, and both collectors' history is on the record. Discord is a good place to find a trader; tradecards.gg is a safer place to finish the trade.
Can I swap Palworld cards without any money changing hands?
Yes. Most trades on tradecards.gg are card for card. Publish a Want binder and a Have binder, and the matcher finds collectors whose extras cover your list and whose list your extras cover. Cash is only added when one side asks for it to balance a swap, and it goes through PayPal Goods and Services between the two of you.
Is it the Palworld TCG or the Palworld OCG?
Both names refer to the same game. Bushiroad's official name is the Palworld Official Card Game, or OCG, and that is what the packaging says in Japan. Outside Japan most collectors call it the Palworld TCG. tradecards.gg covers every printing from Dawn of Palpagos, both trial decks and the promo cards, and adds Legends Awaken as the cards are revealed.
Who runs tradecards.gg?
A hobbyist who built palworldtcg.gg for their Discord community and wanted a safer way for that community to trade with each other. It is not affiliated with the publisher of Palworld or the card game. Card names and images belong to their rights holders and are used descriptively.
