Questions

How are these price changes measured?

Each card's price is TCGplayer's cheapest listing that day (eBay's where TCGplayer has none), imported daily. The 7 and 30 day changes compare today's price with the price on the same card 7 and 30 days earlier. A cheapest listing is a thin number on a thinly listed card: when the one cheap copy sells, the low jumps to the next seller. So cards under $2 at either end, moves under 25 cents, and moves over 300% are left off the lists; the card page shows the TCGplayer market price beside the low.

What is the index?

The total price of every card with a price on both days, equal weight, one copy each. It is $0 today across 0 cards. A chase card moves it more than a common because it costs more, which is how a collection behaves.

Why did a card move?

Usually one of three things: a listing sold out or a cheaper one appeared (small, noisy moves), a reveal or tournament result changed demand (moves that hold for weeks), or a restock landed (sealed and commons slide together). Check the 30-day column before reading anything into a 7-day move.

How do I get a card that is rising without paying the new price?

Trade for it. The collectors shown beside each card have it in a published Have binder; the matcher finds the ones who also want cards you have, and a card-for-card trade costs nothing but a stamp. Sign in with your palworldtcg.gg account and publish your binders.
